I am really not a big Korean food fan. But I am not a snob, I know the difference between kim chi and bulgogi. I stumbled across MISO one day after work, craving something different from my usual mamak fare. The set up of the restaurant is simple if not a little dull. Nothing was particularly outstanding. The menu is as traditional as it gets, with offerings that will not surprise you (especially if you are a Korean food lover). Set meal was quite worth the money with rice, kim chi chicken soup and side dishes for RM14.90++. But with another new Korean outpost opening in the same building, MISO might soon face some fierce competition.

Given my new found love for Korean food I was thrilled to see this place join the ranks of Avenue K's flourishing restaurant scene. They have great Korean food and great prices. Pretty much everything on their menu is traditional Korean food and worth a try. Personally, I have tried the bulgogi, the kimchi stew, the seafood pancake and the rice cake in spicy sauce. I've also tried a couple of the dishes that I could not possibly pronounce in Korean. One drawback of this place is that they are a little bit stingy with the side items. From my experience with Korean restaurants, they are very generous with the kimchi and assorted sides. This place is not. I don't think I have ever seen a smaller portion of kimchi. In the end, this place is solid. Good food for a good prices.

While the menu is heavily laden with traditional offerings, there are a couple of points worth noting. Some diners have observed that the side dishes, usually generous in most Korean eateries, could use a bit more abundance at M.I.S.O., particularly the kimchi. William D. mentions this in his review, suggesting that while the food remains solid, a little extra side would elevate the experience even further.
